Furniture Care Guide

We thank you for the purchase of our furniture pieces.

With a little bit of care, the furniture can avoid repairs and last longer.

Fabrics:

1. Use a vacuum cleaner or soft brush to remove surface dust. Keep the surface free of dirt and grit which may have an abrasive and damaging effect, particularly on light colors.

2. Do not use any detergents/chemicals to remove spots and stains. Some marks can be removed using a cloth moistened with mild soap water. If spillages occur, blot with a dry, clean cloth.

3. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, warm areas and radiators.

4. If you have pets, bear in mind that claws can be particularly damaging to upholstered furniture, as can any kind of sharp object.

Leathers:

1. Use a clean soft dry cloth to remove surface dust, no sharp tools.

2. Use professional chemicals to maintain leathers no crack and no fade colors periodically.

3. If liquid stains, soak up with an absorbent paper immediately, then with a soft dry cloth. Do not dry the leather in sunlight or by using hairdryer.

4. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight which will cause color fade, also keep leather away from heating vents or a fireplace which might lead leather crack or drying.

Wood:

1. Avoid exposing to direct heat or sunlight.

2. Wipe up spills or stains immediately with clean, dry cloth.

3. Coasters is suggested for drinks as liquid left on the table top will stain.

4. Use trivets for hot pans and dishes to prevent damage to finishes and underlying wood.

5. Use waxes and oils as recommended with each product to maintain moisture and provide a protective coating. Apply these products only to the piece’s wood and veneer parts, always testing first on an inconspicuous spot.

6. There may be cracks that appear on the table top over time on solid wood with the changes in temperature and moisture.

7. Repair minor stains, scratches, and water rings by rubbing the surface lightly in the direction of the wood grain with No. 000 steel wool, and then applying a scratch-removing polish with a color and value that simulates the surface.

8. If surface scratches are deep, consult a professional furniture re-finisher.
